Community & Engagement
Communicating our research to as wide an audience as possible has been a core principle of the Discovery Programme since our foundation in 1991. This communication has ranged from academic monographs, to guidebooks, podcasts, videos, appearance on television and radio to programmes for schools and lots of National Heritage Week events.

How can you get involved:
Attend one our events
Our events are open to everybody and we publicise them on our website, social media and in our Ezine. During National Heritage Week (which takes place in the second half of August every year) we run a number of public outreach events. We also organise seminar series and the Annual martin Doody Memorial Lecture as well as project specific events and launches.
Keep an eye on our News and Events section and our social media for upcoming events.
Sign up for our Ezine
We have recently begun publishing an Ezine as a way of communicating our research directly, particularly to those who don’t engage regularly with social media. You can sign up for the mailing list for the Ezine here by entering your email address.
