Dr Nessa O’Connor

Dr Nessa O’Connor is an Assistant Keeper in the Irish Antiquities Division of the National Museum of Ireland.  She has a BA in Archaeology and Early Irish History and an MA in Archaeology from UCD as well as a Doctorate in Governance from the Faculty of Law, Queen’s University, Belfast. She has worked as a curator and archaeologist at the National Museum of Ireland for many years where her interests have included early medieval period metallurgy, underwater archaeology, maritime and  heritage law, the  impact of Climate Change on archaeology as well as the use of 3D technology for museums. She is a native of Fossa, Killarney, Co Kerry.
