Hannah Boyd

As Outreach Officer, Hannah is responsible for sharing the work of the Discovery Programme and connecting people with our organisation.
Hannah is an archaeologist with a background in climate heritage, previously working on the CHERISH project as Survey and Outreach Officer, before joining the Discovery Programme in 2024.
Her career started in the Climate Change team at Historic Environment Scotland. Since then she has worked in a number of roles, including as a Research Assistant at the University of Edinburgh and as a field archaeologist for the Ness of Brodgar, Rubicon Heritage and Historic England.
Hannah holds an undergraduate degree (MA Hons) from the University of Edinburgh and a Masters by Research (MRes) from the University of Highlands and Islands, where she used the palaeoenvironmental record to study human-environment interactions in upland communities during the Bronze and Iron Age.
